Brighter Skies Exhibit Ends in 2 Days!

Today is a great day to get away from the heat and view my art at Litaker Gallery! The air is turned up to the make it snow setting!  My work is on display at Mint Hill Arts, 7714 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm.  I would like to say thank you to everyone that has had this exhibit possible. The Lord has blessed me with the talent to produce wonderful work! It amazes me each time I look at my work! My brother, Charlie who has hung several shows and who is currently updating my website.  The website will be up within 24-48 hours.  Additionally he has taken great pictures of my work and provided opportunity for my work to be displayed in SC! Tony and The Mint Hill artists and volunteers that safely handled my work, hung and labeled this show.  A special thanks to Erica and the Matthew-Mint Hill Weekly for writing and printing an AWESOME story that presented me to the community in such a strong way! A special thanks to Cheryl and the Gaston Gazette for elevating my image to superhero status. Great story and on time photo coinciding with movie release!  A special thanks to Thomas and the Belmont Banner for super quotes and projecting my artistic message into the community.  You have to read and see the article to know what I'm referring to.  A super thank you to all of my sponsors, collectors, fans, FANARTREVIEW Family, and instructors!  I want to extend my dearest gratitude to the Rauch family, their staff and board that have believed in me, my work and vision.  They have made a direct investment in my future. I have been selected out of several artists to be awarded the 2010-2011 Jeanne Rauch Art Scholarship and now the 2011-2012 Jeanne Rauch Art Scholarship!  I have been fired up from the beginning producing my work.  Receiving this honor 2 years in a row paves the way for me to get my fine arts degree! I wanted to make sure that I mention everyone. There doesn't have to be any unsung heroes!

Screensavers Available & Building Screensaver Gallery

Right now I'm still going through the images that will be available for screen savers. To me it is important to provide a high quality screen saver that doesn't have the spy ware issues.  It is a hard decision to decide which images are going to be inducted into the screen saver gallery. I'm going through exhibit records to verify some statistical information. Right now I'm considering a range of my images. I'm considering some of my most popular work. Also this would be a good time for me to release some of my digital images. My digital images have been seen by an extremely small group.  I will be in different communities today and over the next few days showing my work.  This will be an ongoing project which will build up a sizable screen saver gallery.  Just like all of my originals and prints that are purchased, the screen savers are for the intended purpose.  Currently on the table for consideration is: Offer a screen saver for buyers of my original works.  When a buyer or collector purchase an original work, they would be offered either a free or discounted screen saver of the work they purchased.  The jury is still out on this decision. Order yours today!

The Vault- (Special Projects Declassified)

Hello to everyone today! I have been spending time promoting my work and getting ready for school!  I have reached some more of my fitness goals over the summer.  I'm looking forward to this upcoming semester. There are a lot of projects that I will have in class to accomplish ,  I have some plans to produce some serious work!  I will continue to work clay for the rest of the year.  I will focus on wood and metal this semester.  I will be working on "Specials Projects" that will go into the vault.   Vault items are going to be one of a kind created objects that are going to blow your mind!  I plan on using unique materials and ancient processes.  Special paperwork will be required for handling and displaying these works! Some of these works are going to require special installation from the ceiling.  The heat is really going to get turned up producing great work!  The media is going to be running wild with the stories and interviews so you shouldn't miss too much. Thanks for reading my blog. Carl

Sun-Dried, Fire-Roasted Tomatoes & Sketches

I have always loved tomatoes! I have been using them a lot lately in my cooking! Not just pasta but my special French bean combo.  I just picked up some new canvas and I'm going to see where this journey will take me.  A lot is coming together! My website will be back up this week.  I  feel like making some gumbo. That might be a great project for me to do.  I have several Classified Gumbo combinations. I will make one very soon.  I'm ready to get back in school!  I am ready to throw clay, work metal and wood.  I plan on completing all of my assignments and get the most out of my instruction.  I want to concentrate on working metal and wood this semester!
